Groups

​Our skills groups are designed to help adults 18+ build practical tools, find support, and create meaningful change. Fear of Flying combines CBT techniques with insider aviation knowledge to reduce flight anxiety and boost travel confidence. Chronic Invisible Illness offers strategies for managing conditions like EDS, POTS, MCAS, chronic pain, and migraines, with an emphasis on coping, communication, and self-advocacy. CBT for Depression & Anxiety teaches how to challenge unhelpful thoughts, boost mood, and manage worry. DBT Skills focuses on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to improve emotional and relational health. All groups are virtual and open to residents of FL, CT, MA, NY, NJ, PA, and CA.

 

 Fear of Flying Skills Group

 

Purpose: Conquer flight-related anxiety through proven psychological tools and aviation insider knowledge. Learn how to feel calm, confident, and in control before, during, and after your flight.


Skills Covered:

  • Understanding aviation safety and how flying works

  • Cognitive Behavioral strategies to reframe anxious thoughts

  • Breathing, grounding, and mindfulness for in-flight calm

  • Step-by-step exposure planning and travel readiness

    • Who It’s For: Adults 18+ with flight anxiety — from first-time flyers to frequent travelers — seeking to overcome their fear in a supportive, skill-focused group.

      • When: Mondays 7:00pm EST/ 4:00pm PST     

 

 

Chronic Invisible Illness Skills Group

 

Purpose: Connect with others navigating chronic and invisible illnesses while learning coping strategies that honor both mind and body.


Skills Covered:

  • Managing energy and pacing activities

  • Communicating effectively with healthcare providers

  • CBT and DBT strategies for pain, fatigue, and flare-ups

  • Grief and acceptance work around life changes

  • Building self-advocacy skills

    • Who It’s For: Adults 18+ living with chronic and/or invisible illnesses (e.g., EDS, POTS, MCAS, autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, migraine, ME/CFS).

      • When: Tuesdays 7:00pm EST/ 4:00pm PST

 CBT Skills Group — Depression & Anxiety

 

Purpose: Learn practical, evidence-based tools to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, shift mood, and manage anxiety.


Skills Covered:

  • Cognitive restructuring to reduce negative thoughts

  • Behavioral activation to increase motivation & joy

  • Problem-solving and goal-setting

  • Mindfulness to stay present and grounded

    • Who It’s For: Adults 18+ seeking relief from depression and/or anxiety in a supportive group environment.

 

 

DBT Skills Group — Emotional Regulation & Interpersonal Effectiveness

 

Purpose: Gain skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help you regulate emotions, cope with stress, and improve relationships.


Skills Covered:

  • Mindfulness to increase awareness and acceptance

  • Emotion regulation strategies to prevent overwhelm

  • Distress tolerance techniques for crisis moments

  • Interpersonal effectiveness skills for healthy boundaries and communication

    • Who It’s For: Adults 18+ who want to improve emotional resilience and relationship skills.

      • When: Wednesdays 7:00pm EST/ 4:00pm PST
